A great Quote from this morning’s Sermon by Collin Packer

“If we serve a creative God, if we have creative members who are created by a creative God, then why is church not the most creative place on earth? ….Artists are encouraged to take their gifts, but usually it’s not to take their gifts to church, it’s to take their gifts elsewhere. ….The church has always been a bit leary of art. We tend to kind of separate the sacred and the secular, even though so much of what’s creative is the spirit of God that’s within us.”

“Not all artists are creative. Just because you’re not artistic, doesn’t mean you’re not creative and just because you are artistic, doesn’t mean you are creative. There are many artists out there who will do their best to only imitate others who have done so and their fear to step out and to create on their own is so much that they never create the beautiful picture that God has instilled within them.”
